Workshops are held at DeAnna Gibbons Millinery Studio in San Francisco, CA. Space is limited so I recommend reserving your spot a bit on the early side so you don't miss out.
A $75.00 deposit per workshop is required to hold space with remaining balance due the day of the workshop.
Cancellation policy: Please cancel at least two weeks prior to workshop for full refund (- $2.50 transaction fee). Deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to workshop.

Make your own nature inspired fabric flowers

Interested in making flowers that possess an extra touch of realism? In this workshop we will examine flower structure and work from “live models” and printed references to develop patterns and learn what characteristics to take note of to capture the essence of a specific type of flower. Additional techniques for adding “life” to your handmade flowers will also be explored. All skill levels are welcome. Choose cotton, silk, or velvet to create your own one-of-a-kind artisan flowers. All materials are provided, but please feel free to bring any additional fabric or tools you may wish to use.

Do you have questions about pattern making? Color mixing? Tool usage? This is the perfect chance for the experienced flower maker to dedicate a day to refining techniques, gathering tips, and delving deeper into material covered in previous workshops. This is a self-directed day when you may choose to work on a project or focus on practicing skills with no particular product in mind. Through presentations, Q & A sessions, and hands-on activities you will fine-tune your flower making skills in a supportive and relaxed setting. All tools featured in previous workshops (including leaf presses, airbrushes, etc.) will be made available for use. Materials for practice exercises and up to two projects will be provided. If needed, additional fabric will be available for purchase. Feel free to bring an unfinished project or any additional fabric or tools you may wish to use.
